A referral program designed around your reputation — not just ours. Co-branded projects, direct site access, and a team your clients will thank you for introducing.
We've been in this business since 1999. The professionals who refer clients to us have been doing so for years — not because we pay them, but because we make them look good. Here is what that means in practice.
Kopman Build was founded in 1999 and has delivered over 400 residential projects across Toronto, the GTA, and Muskoka. We carry $5M general liability insurance and maintain current WSIB clearance, both available on request. Our operational history is verifiable, our work is in the ground, and we haven't changed our name.
Partners receive monthly written project updates at minimum, milestone notifications at key construction stages, and direct access to the site supervisor's cell number. You will not find out your client's project is behind schedule because your client called you first. We tell you before they do.
Professional conduct on site is non-negotiable. Clean, organized work environments. Communication that reflects well on everyone. On-time and on-budget delivery as the standard, not the exception. We do not market directly to clients you introduce to us, and we do not contact your referrals outside the context of the project you introduced.
Our partner program is designed around the specific needs of three professional communities — realtors, architects and designers, and interior designers. Each relationship looks different in practice. Here is what each looks like.
Pre-listing renovations that increase sale price 15–30% in Toronto's premium neighbourhoods — kitchens, bathrooms, basement finishing, and exterior work that photographs well and survives buyer inspection. Post-purchase transformation for clients who bought a property based on its potential. We brief you on scope and budget on Day 1, before the client walks through a second time, so you can position the opportunity accurately. We don't come back to your client with a number that surprises you.
We execute architectural drawings to spec. Our site team reads drawings carefully and asks questions before starting, not after something is built wrong. We have experience working on heritage applications, Committee of Adjustment proceedings, and structurally complex residential projects including second-storey additions, laneway houses, and full envelope replacements. We support co-branded case studies where you want joint portfolio documentation of the project outcome. We do not substitute materials without written authorization from the design team.
Interior design projects live and die by finish scheduling. If the substrate is wrong, the floor isn't flat, the walls aren't plumb, or the tile backer was installed incorrectly, your finishes fail — and your reputation takes the hit. We coordinate trade access around your install schedule, communicate directly with you on site preparation and timing, and flag anything that needs your decision before it becomes a problem. We prepare surfaces to your spec and hold them there until your team is ready.
These are the concrete deliverables that come with a Kopman Build partner relationship — not aspirational promises, but standard operating procedure for every partner-introduced project.
The following is a representative example of how an architecture partner relationship functions on a typical Toronto full renovation project. Project details are illustrative.
An architecture firm introduces a client who has purchased a 1930s Rosedale semi-detached home with an existing structure they want retained and expanded. The firm has completed concept drawings and wants a builder they can trust to execute without constant supervision and without substituting finishes.
At introduction, Kopman Build meets with the client and the architecture firm together to review drawings, identify any constructibility questions before the permit drawings are finalised, and establish the communication structure for the project. The architect receives a copy of all RFIs (Requests for Information) and material submittals before the client does.
Permit management, including coordination with Heritage Preservation Services for the property's Part V designation, is handled by Kopman Build. The architect is copied on all permit correspondence and milestone responses. Construction proceeds in four stages with a written milestone update to the architecture firm at the completion of each stage. The project is photographed at rough framing and at completion. Co-branded case study documentation is prepared and shared with the firm within 30 days of final inspection.
Tell us about your firm and how you typically work with contractors. We review all applications and follow up within 2 business days.
We review all applications and follow up within 2 business days. This form initiates a conversation — not a binding commitment. We take on a limited number of new partner relationships each year and are selective about fit.
We acknowledge referral relationships professionally and discreetly. Where a partner has introduced a client and both parties consent, we offer co-branded case studies, shared project photography, and partner acknowledgment at project completion. We do not offer monetary referral fees, which would create disclosure obligations for licensed professionals. Our acknowledgment is reputational and portfolio-based — your work is credited, your firm is visible.
We review all partner applications and take on a limited number of new partner relationships each year. Our capacity is finite and we manage it carefully. We work best with professionals who share a client-first approach and are comfortable with direct, honest communication. We don't sign up every firm that applies — we commit to the ones where the fit is real.
We have been in business since 1999 and the construction industry is not without its challenges. If a project encounters scope issues, timeline pressure, or conflict, we communicate directly and honestly — with you and with your client. We don't blame subcontractors, hide problems, or avoid calls. Our goal is always to resolve issues in a way that protects both the client's outcome and your relationship with them. We carry $5M liability coverage and WSIB clearance, and we stand behind our work.
The simplest path: introduce us by email or phone and copy us both. We take it from there with a direct call or meeting at the client's convenience. You can also fill out the partner intake form above and we'll follow up within 2 business days to discuss how to structure the introduction. We work to make the handoff feel seamless — your client should feel well taken care of from the first contact.
We take that seriously. Let's talk about whether we're the right fit for your clients and your practice.
